SHARING KNOWLEDGE IN CONSERVATION

Why do scientists publish?

Publishing and presenting scientific findings is a crucial part of science and conservation to ensure the dissemination and availability of new scientific knowledge or technologic advances in the field of studies. This knowledge can be used by fellow scientists for further research, by management authorities to improve the conservation measures in place and by politics to make informed decisions.
