Dear Diary,

The reunion finaly happened. We all got together and exchanged the pictures and movies. Michaels showed us the ones he made and they were so great! When you look at them, you feel like you are still there, living the moment. In a way, I still sometimes feel that I am there, like a whisper or a shadow that passes and that for a brief second transports me back to the place we once were. A place where the sun comes up so early, that you feel as if you are always running late. A place where you can have wild animals as your neigbour and not consider it as a problem. A place where a mangoose can terrify you, but a elephant that charges is nothing out of the ordinary. A place where hospitality is a second nature. The list could go on, but in a way there isn’t really a way to describe South Africa. It has a special atmosphere that can only be understood once you have stayed there. South Africa just is and will be.
